An Efficient Approach Combining Wavelets and Neural Networks for Equalizer Signal Processing in Digital Communications

The paper presents an efficient combination of Neural Networks and the Wavelet transform for improving the quality of equalisers in digital communication systems. The Wavelets-transform based pre-processing is used to reduce additive noise then the neural-networks based post-processing is applied to reduce the intersymbol Interference of the analyzed signals. The results of the combined process are also tested on the DSP TMS320C6711 hardware of Texas Instrument. Both are met the appropriate proposed-process for the signal enhancement in digital communications.
