Abstract

The concepts of contextualising software components and role based modelling have been exploited when addressing the interoperability problem in multiple databases (DBs). The concepts are applied to the example of a layered component based architectural style for interoperable DBs in order to ease the components' implementations and their binding complexity. Components are contextulaised through a proposed categorisation of user's requests and the running example is designed as an EJB application.
