Abstract

With the wide-spread adoption of Java, there is significant interest in using this language for programming real-time systems. The specification for Real Time Java has been given by The Real-Time for Java Expert Group. Some platforms which respect the specification, such as TimeSys RI, JTime, JRate have been developed. In this paper, we show how to apply our theoretical scheduling knowledge to Java application development. We describe and measure the system parameters which will influence behavior of the application. We show how to include these parameters in the feasibility analysis and method.
