3D pointing system, common operations, software tools.
Common operations are widely used on a touch panel: Click, Double-click, and Drag. This manuscript applies these three common operations into a 3D space. Each com mon operation is represented as a conjunction of several basic operations: clickin, clickout, and move. These basic operations correspond to simple finger motions of pushing, releasing, and rubbing a touch panel, respectively. These three basic operations are realized in a 3D space. After wards each common operation is realized as a conjunction of basic operations and a 3D pointing system providing a user with the common operations in a 3D space is intro duced.
