Abstract

Resource consolidation following a merger or a major acquisition is often critical to the success of the new enterprise. This paper reports on the construction and application of data-driven optimization models to help management explore consolidation options. A case study involving post-merger consolidation of two pet food companies supported by modeling analysis is presented.
