A digital home service is a house network that contains the technology to control devices and systems automatically. A service gateway which is component of home networks must be important device because it intermediates between residential network and external internet. Currently, the service gateway is expected various hardware and software platform. Therefore it is necessary that these various gateways are monitored and managed by unified interfaces and management system. In this paper, we design and propose the management mechanism based on SOAP protocol to cope with incompatible problem between heterogeneous gateways and a management system. And we apply the RSH protocol which is included OSGi specification to our mechanism for the communication security.
