Abstract

Based on the variable structure control theory, a topic on the modeling and control for the distributed parameter systems of gas density in mines was put forward. A plant, describing the distributed gas-effusing sources and taking the actual environmental disturbances in account, was firstly modeled. For matching practical measure, the model was then transformed into a group of centralized parameter dynamic models in accordance with the number of gas-measuring sites. And following, applying variable structure sliding mode control theory, the sliding mode control laws were studied and designed, then the control laws, which make the systems realize sliding mode movement in finite time, and make the gas density distributions, under the meaning of average norm, be stable at the equilibrium states, were given out.
