The sensors community needs intelligent information systems that are robust, inexpensive to build, extend and maintain, and are portable to diverse operating systems. This paper presents a software architecture that extends the use of Semantic Web technologies beyond Internet specific applications. Semantic Web technologies can be used as a major component for building intelligent efficient information systems, communication and sensor systems, intelligent Email systems, and for performing software translation.
