Abstract

In this paper, we propose that ubiquitous computing technologies can help in improving the efficiency and effectiveness of knowledge management systems. We explore the idea of integrating knowledge management systems with ubiquitous computing, the result of which we term as Ubiquitous Knowledge Management System (UKMS). The ability to retrieve and distribute information independent of location and time combined with context aware applications to provide personalized and relevant information to users will benefit organizations in a multitude of ways.
