Simulation tool, manufacturing, pollution control, decision-making
In this paper the Simulation Product Service System SimProS is introduced. This service system is part of an Innovation Studio and provides support for SMEs in their efforts to improve their production facilities. It consists of three components: simulation of manufacturing of workpieces, simulation of planning and scheduling of preparation of tools needed for manufacturing workpieces, and finally simulation of energy consumption and coolant flow with respect to coolant losses and pollution due to manufacturing processes.
