Abstract

Computer assisted distributed or collaborative learning environments have been in existence for some time, however one impediment to more widespread use has been the need for a permanent wired network infrastructure. In this paper we discuss a number of technologies enabling the development of a prototype tool that allows the formation of an ad hoc network at any time, and in any locale.
