Multicell OFDM/CDMA, frequency offset, channel esti mation error.
In this paper, we analyze average bit error rates (BERs) for several diversity combining schemes in downlink mul ticell synchronous OFDM/CDMA systems with frequency offset. Channels for wireless local area network, that is, slowly varying frequency selective independent Rayleigh fading channels are considered. For fading estimation, pilot symbol assisted modulation (PSAM) is employed. Through numerical analysis, we derive channel estimation error induced by frequency offset. Also, the effects of fre quency offset and its corresponding channel estimation er ror on system BER performance are investigated.
