In this paper, we propose a new hierarchical topology for multicast protocols. This hierarchical topology consists of a small number of Senders, a pre-deployed Mesh, and a large number of local groups that have a local Service Node and some Receivers in each local group. We also propose an algorithm that can auto-configure the proposed hierarchical topology.
