Abstract

Our work targets small mobile computers with a Bluetooth wireless link. Embedded in cheap robots with data rich sensors, our target does not have enough processing power to do the required analysis on sensor data. We propose the use of parallel processing. In this paper we outline DynaMP, a dynamic message passing architecture. Us ing an ad-hoc network with on-demand routing based on AODV. DynaMP has a resource discovery mechanism, it distributes code and data using Java classloading, with a caching mechanism to reduce network traffic. We assume the network is unreliable and provide a retry mechanism in distributing the problem.
