New software development technologies such as OO-technologies, XML, and web services are appearing one after another. However, software development teams do not always possess the knowledge necessary to use these new technologies. We developed a pattern system for the development of applications that use new technologies by interweaving several patterns we wrote. We chose XML as a target technology for the pattern system. We applied our system to practical development projects and obtained good results. This paper describes the structure, content, and effect of the developed pattern system.
