Abstract

We present new methods for modeling sampling distribu tions of SNP frequencies in populations with time varying size. Computation based on our methods are more efficient than the Monte Carlo simulations and allow for analysis of large genealogies. We analyze some of available SNP data and we compare our results of demographic parame ters estimation to those obtained in previous researches in population genetics. The analyzed data are not inconsistent with the hypothesis of past population growth of modern humans.
