Models and Frameworks for WBE; Web-based Tools
This paper describes a Web-based Learning (WBL) initiative at the Universidad del Sagrado Corazn, in San Juan, Puerto Rico. The project and model named Sagrado en Linea is discussed, and its underlying philosophy and WBL tenets are presented. The layered model we have developed is then discussed with the aid of Kahn's framework [1] for WBL in eight dimensions. In particular, the layers of Tools and Communications are presented, and last, the work done on tool development and support is shown.
