Knowledge on the implementation on database-driven web applications is currently among the most frequently required qualifications a graduate of a higher technical college should have. This does not only apply to students of information technology, but also to students of many other technical and non-technical subjects. In cartography for instance, considerable efforts are undertaken to appropriately present on the internet the data and maps collected over years.
