ontologies, Transparent Intensional Logic, verb frames
In the presented paper we examine ontologies, particularly Top Ontology from EuroWordnet 1,2, in relation to the logical types defined in Transparent Intensional Logic. We show that those relations can be captured by means of verb frames (for Czech and English). We offer a new notation that exploits semantic roles (deep cases) based on the EuroWordNet Top Ontology and the set of the Base Concepts. The possibility of application of such cognitive structures in NLP (dialogue) systems is touched as well.
