Watermarking, Data Hiding, Naturalness Preserving Transform.
An approach to image watermarking and data hiding based on the Naturalness-Preserving Transform (NPT) is presented in this paper. This approach is demonstrated using the classic Hadamard-based NPT, as well as a modified form of the NPT employing the discrete cosine transform. This modified form of the NPT was developed to address visible artifacts commonly introduced by the Hadamard transform. Experimental testing of the technique is included, demonstrating the effect of filtering and JPEG compression.
