Simulation, Transient stability, ETAP, Power system
This paper addresses the timely issue of modeling and analysis of industrial power systems regarding transient stability and presents a faster and precise way of performing the transient stability study. The modeling analysis approach adopted in this paper is graphical in nature, as opposed to mathematical models embedded in code using a high-level computer language. The use of simulator such as ETAP PowerStation can provide us an effective and accurate solution for such problems. This paper presents a faster and precise way of performing the transient stability study. The well developed facilities available in an industry standard power system package, namely ETAP PowerStation, are used to conduct transient stability analysis and to carry out extensive simulation studies with illustrative examples.
