Abstract

In this paper, a model of eight levels channel system in parallel configuration between two headers is developed and analyzed. The combined effect of a non-uniform heat flux distribution with the channel levels and in channel system is considered in order to predict, numerically, the flow behavior. This leads to a better knowledge of the flow distribution in channel system design and planning phases. Simulations are accomplished to prove an effectiveness of proposed approach in flow performances prediction. The achieved results clearly demonstrate the effect of a non-uniform input heat load to a channel system on the mass flow rate distribution in channels.
