Abstract

A computer efficient load flow algorithm that incorporates uncertainties of the input data is required for the distribution system planning and operation. In this paper interval arithmetic is used to incorporate uncertainties of load and line parameters while solving balanced radial distribution system (RDS). Usefulness of interval arithmetic is demonstrated through realistic example and results are compared with conventional load flow (CLF) algorithms. Composite load model is also incorporated in the algorithm.
