Abstract

Optimal measurement location selection method is applied to a model power system. Optimal location is selected un der the linear quadratic regulator set-up. The suggested al gorithm shows that its effectiveness in the power system which known to have complex dynamics and very large number of states. The search algorithm using subgradient is applied to model power system to illustrate its usefulness.
