Abstract

Transient voltage quality experienced by low-voltage customers, which can severely influence the normal operations of sensitive loads, are determined mostly by system short circuit fault, especially by single-line-to ground (SLTG) fault which is much more frequent than the other kind of short circuit. Voltage sags loci in case of SLTG fault with fault resistance changing are analyzed quantitatively in this paper. And different distribution neutral grounding modes are compared from the point view of transient voltage quality. The considerations in the mode selections are pointed out. It will be the reference for neutral grounding modes selection of power supply system to sensitive loads in the city distribution network reconstruction.
