Abstract

The purpose of this paper is to describe goals and current state of the of the MEDIMED project. The goal of this project is to create a medical multimedia data archiving and communication centre. The big advantage of an academic environment is that we can serve as a "Neutral Exchange Point" for hospitals participating in this project.
