Security services involving public key based transactions frequently require processing of a chain of certificates, a task which can be time consuming and difficult because of complex content and discovery and proof of certification paths. This paper shows how a modified certificate creation process can produce a recursive structure which simplifies path discovery and assists with certificate validation.
