The challenges, opportunities, advantages, disadvantages and trends of e-learning are all of current concern, and the need to identify particular goals and resolve issues, demands urgent attention, in order to satisfy existing group work. Models of computing knowledge acquisition need to be established. This is achieved through an exploration of the foundations of e-learning, its relevant technology and a look at building the optimal e-learning environment.
