Abstract

The aim of this work is to prepare a useful model of information processing for visual task when one is engaged in driving a load vehicle. In this paper an experimental paradigm is firstly discussed for the identification of a conceptual model by the analysis of effective factors. The results of human behavior are obtained by the experiment when one is engaged in the high order information processing by visual task such as receiving a perceptive information, recognition and judgment for the safety driving. By the consideration of the cognitive model for human reliability, a model with the mechanism of visual information processing is newly proposed considering the results of psychophysical and physiological experiments such as response time, useful field of view and event related potential P300.
