The Application of Analogical Reasoning in Conceptual Design System

Abstract

Presented work describes global structure of Conceptual Design System. Then the structure of Eugenic Genetic Programming Algorithm is discussed and some extensions are described. Especially, novel algorithm of Analogical and Associative Reasoning is outlined. The algorithm uses special symbolic network, which in a given number of steps searches possible analogies and associations. Specialised filters can focus this search closely or widely to solved problem domain. Settings of these filters can be found by the some network during the solution process. Because the network is synchronous it is possible to determine solution time (and depth).
