Neural Networks, Pattern Recognition, Mitotic Index.
In this paper an artificial neural network was implemented to recognize, classify and count nuclei of lymphocytes of human peripheral blood. Techniques from digital image processing like segmentation and significant feature extraction were used. This research was developed to help the study and diagnosis of problems related to the cytogenetics field.
