KBS evaluation, metrics, measurement, quality.
The evaluation of Knowledge Based Systems has more difficulties than in traditional software. There is a lack of metrics and little confidence in the interpretation of the results. A particular case with interest in the KBS development is the Prototyping, because always has implicit an evaluation process. Below we have a method that allows the use of a generic benchmark in particular case. The result of the application of this method has been explained using a real KBS prototype in the Technology Transfer domain. Finally, it is analysed and recommended who and how could provide this type of service.
