Abstract

In this paper, we suggest a generic approach for building a multi-agent resource management system model (framework) in distance education. The paper is particularly focusing on a general agent negotiation protocol. The negotiation process will enable the communication between the different resources in the system, resolving the resource collisions. Although the framework is mainly focusing on its usage in distance education systems, its applicability in other systems and domains is not limited by that fact. The proposed framework can be used for building a multi agent resource management system that is functional, adaptive and flexible in resource management, as well as robust and secure.
