Reflections on Aggregate-level Implementation of Online Courses

Abstract

E-Learning is one of the hottest topics today in higher education. A number of researches have been conducted addressing the issues and the challenges in this context such as pedagogical, technological, social, cultural, ethical and economical, etc. The implementation of online course has always been a common approach to distance education. Problems and new challenges may arise when a series of online courses are being developed at the same time for a target group of students. In this article, a number of research papers have been reviewed and the aggregate-level implementation of online courses is described. Reflections concerning the implementation of online courses have been identified and discussed.
