Java, J2ME, network administration, mobile applications
The popularity and sales of Java-enabled cell phones is increasing. Nokia estimates to sell 50-100 million WAP enabled devices in the year 2003 [1]. The features and capabilities of the J2ME-enabled devices allow consumers to browse the internet, send and receive emails, shop online, check their stock portfolio and it allows developers to write custom applications integrated with programming languages running on the server. In this paper, we discuss the development of NMAMD, a network tool for system administrators.
