With the increasing importance of the Internet, Web Applications are high in demand. The success of Web Application Frameworks depends heavily on their ease-of-use, e.g., the support for automated application generation. Another trend in the World Wide Web is the semantic enrichment of web pages. In this paper we look at synergy effects between these two important aspects and present a prototypical code generation application that is based on a 3-level metamodel hierarchy. We show that the model used by the prototype can also be used to represent the semantics of the web application generated.
