The development of mobile devices has recently reached a level, which has made connecting them to the Internet possible. As a straightforward consequence, the content providers have faced a new problem. The web pages cannot be designed exclusively for desktop computers anymore. The wide variety of client devices should be considered at design time, and the web content has to be adapted dynamically to the client needs. This paper presents a solution for server side layout adaptation of XML documents, using XFrames and Cascading Style Sheets. The algorithm adapts the documents dynamically fitting them to the display size of the client device.
