Abstract

VoiceXML is a standard language for the development of telephony based applications. VoiceXML applications are more flexible than IVR (Interactive Voice Response) because they can be generated dynamically and used by any kind of telephone or the computer. One problem faced in the development of this applications is the access to a VoiceXML gateway, since it is very expensive (specialized hardware devices) so that is out of the reach of several small and medium size companies. In this paper, we are going to show you how to implement a low cost VoiceXML Gateway, with out the use of special devices, and with an architecture more flexible than current commercial VoiceXML Gateways.
