Abstract

We present a sample implementation of a task-based embedded software improving super-loop architecture that is widely used in FPD (Flat Panel Display) system. We analyze FPD system and design a task-based system using Gomaa's DARTS (Design Approach for Real-Time System) method. To improve the software reusability, we apply task-based architecture on real-time operating system so that inter-task correlation is reduced. We also enhance the computational reliability through real-time system design method, assuming that the task doesn't complete successfully till deadline with exponential probability function. Various evaluation results demonstrate the performance enhancement of the proposed design method comparing with conventional method.
