Abstract

The application software of heterogeneous information systems for power systems are commonly used in some specifically sections, but seldom take the whole performance of system into account. The result is that it leads to much data repeated input and the resources wasted. The integration technology of heterogeneous information systems can realize systems unifying and resources sharing, but integration technology has great demands for hardware and software, so workload is much great, and investment is very high. To solve those problems, a new method is presented in the paper which is based on open database connection (ODBC), using Delphi object-oriented programming technology to manage large heterogeneous databases, such as Sybase database or MS SQL Server database, and converts data among different heterogeneous databases of different systems, realizing data share to improve whole performance and utility of heterogeneous systems, and grounds for system integration. This method has been used to systems of electric energy measure and analysis and systems of load control in Xiangfan power supply bureau.
