Colour texture classication, polished granite tile,coordinated clusters representation.
In this paper we propose two application oriented colour texture classiers. The performance of classiers is evaluated in a quantitative manner for the characterization of visual appearance of polished "Rosa Porrio" granite tiles. Texture features are extracted from the intensity plane (grey scale image) along with pure chrominance features extracted from the colour components of the RGB colour space. The coordinated clusters representation of images is used for grey scale texture analysis. Experimental results show the high performance of the proposed classiers that may have industrial application to the similarity judgement of visual appearance of polished granite tiles.
