Abstract

In a business office, within governmental departments, most of the administrative processes are by their nature similar. In existing practice different software application exist that perform almost identical tasks for each department. ADMIS is a general software framework for automation of administrative processes. A methodology is introduced for enabling the development of specific applications. The existing workflow and document management system technologies are utilized to provide the general framework architecture. The definition of process states and activities performed, are represented in UML notation. The fundamental administrative functions are implemented as a collection of software components needed for reuse in most Workflow and DMA applications.
