Formal technical asynchronous review, Review process
This paper describes a web-based review system developed to support formal technical asynchronous review technique and discusses its applicability in a small software organization. The tool addresses the need of today's software development environment for review teams that can effectively collaborate across different sites and times. It allows review process to be tailored according to needs and supports both paper-based and online review of multiple document formats in a distributed manner. This paper includes a brief description of current operational version of our tool, wbART (web based Asynchronous Review Tool). We then present initial results of its usability based on its applicability in a software organization. We conclude with the benefits that the tool offers in key activities of a review process.
