Resource Allocation, Genomic Application Program, InterProScan, Computational Grid
(1)Using GlobusToolkit, several functions which can allow a genomic application program(InterProScan) to execute on the Grid are implemented, and (2)three types of resource allocation schemes are evaluated on the Grid. This paper discusses the implementation details of those functions and compares the execution time of those schemes. Our results show that the execution time of the resource allocation scheme, which uses the information of the application program and the computer power, is smaller than other schemes, and its fluctuation band is quite small.
