Segmentation / Thai / Handwritten /Heuristic / Connected
This paper presents character segmentation scheme using heuristic method based on distinctive features. Heuristic method is used for classifying the line edge pattern of connected Thai characters. Moreover, this method is also used for reduction of processing area which leads to lower processing complexity. Experimental results are 84.71% of correct segmentation rate.
