Multi-Agent Systems, Alliance, Alliance Coordinator,Diagnosing Faulty Situations.
Practical issue of alliance formation is considered as a subproblem of more general coalition formation problem in the context of multi-agent systems. The paper describes the process of alliance formation admitting different faulty situations. Coordinators forming the alliance are assigned with the task of diagnosing faulty situations which may occur during an alliance formation process. In practice, there are possible situations when diagnostic results provided by individual coordinators are in contradictions. The paper focuses on the problem of resolving such contradictions and determining a method of information processing which will allow to identify the faults as soon as possible and to form the alliance capable of fulfilling its main goal.
