The InterLabs state-of-the-art tool for 1) Web-based teaching and learning and 2) various types of communication technologies over the Internet, has been designed, developed, and tested at the InterLabs Research Institute (IRI) at Bradley University, Peoria, IL, as a part of the National Science Foundation's project # DUE-0196015 [1,2]. It is based on active utilization of innovative software engineering, streaming multimedia, communication, teaching, learning and information technologies. Student formative and summative evaluations and academic performance clearly demonstrate the advantages of the innovative online courseware and "student-to-students" and "student-to-teacher" communications based on the InterLabs tool. It was actively used for faculty and professional development as apart of the NSF ATE grant # DUE-9950029. Faculty favored the use of the Interlabs tool in Web-based training.
