In this paper we present a multicast application called MUST (MUlticast Synchronous Transfer), which offers to the users synchronism file transfer service. Since the well known TCP protocol can not be used in a multicast scenario, the main issue of MUST is the definition and the implementation of its associated transport protocol MTP (Must Transport Protocol). Therefore, the focus of this paper is to detail the clients and the server behavior and its associated code. Finally, we also customize some open source software tools which will allow the measure of multicast traffic in real environments.
