Bi-directional Transmission over Single Optical Fiber using Ring-type Base Station WITHOUT Light Sources

We have proposed and implemented a bi-directional transmission system, using a base station without light source, in which optical signals can be transmitted bi directionally over a single optical fiber. In order to investigate the feasibility of the proposed system, we have measured adjacent channel power ratio (ACPR) and carrier to noise ratio (CNR) of uplink by transmitting an IS-95 CDMA signal and 14 tone carrier signals.
