-- We consider the lattice-reduction-aided detec tion scheme of [2] based on the well-known LLL algorithm for MIMO systems with arbitrary number of dimensions. By considering a set of subspaces of the detection space we spend some additional computational effort in the de tection scheme and show that this approach is extremely rewarding in terms of return in power efficiency gain. Ad ditionally, the list of candidate solutions considered in the new approach can be used to calculate per-bit probability estimates.
